The Housing Authority of the City of Bridgeport is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Bridgeport Mayor. BHA Commissioners are responsible for setting housing authority policies to ensure that BHA is meeting HUD regulations and meeting its mission to its residents. In 2006, the Board of Commissioners adopted the acronym A.C.T., to describe their focus on Accountability, Communication and Transparency within the BHA.
