  • Schedule a one on one interview with Peggy Jean to explore job leads

  • Attend daily job search and job readiness workshops

  • Visit (2) Job Boards located: at the Gary Crooks Memorial Center - 301 Bostwick Ave (Bus # 1), and the Trumbull Gardens Multi-Purpose Center - 715 Trumbull Ave (Bus # 6 or 12)

  • Attend Internal and external job fairs

  • Read the R.E.C Newsletter that connects residents to resources: employment & Section 3 openings, vital community information and more

The REC provides residents with information and access to Job Training Opportunities within the BHA and the broader community. Examples of FREE training programs include:

  • Childcare Training
  • Computer Based A Plus Certification

JOB FAIRS
Job Fairs help connect job seekers with employment opportunities.

The REC keeps residents informed of job fairs throughout the area, and encourages them to attend these important events. BHA’s Resident Employment Center also hosts job fairs at the Trumbull Gardens Multi-Purpose Center. At these fairs, representatives from local companies and community agencies are invited to set up booths to distribute information and applications.

The REC helps residents come prepared to the job fairs by providing resume assistance and interview skills. BHA’s job fairs give residents access to potential employers that can lead to interviews and career opportunities.
